1. Visas and immigration

If you are coming to the UK, you must check if you need a visa to study in the UK. You can check here.

If you need a visa, you need to check what you can and can’t do on your visa. For example, you may not be able to work or bring your family. Please talk to your agency or embassy if you have questions. You must remember to bring your Letter of Acceptance with you when you travel.

2. Accommodation

It is important that you stay somewhere where you are happy while you study. We can help you to organise accommodation in Leeds.

3. Read about Leeds, inlingua Leeds and the UK

This website and our Student Handbook will give you lots of information about the city and our school. This will mean fewer surprises when you arrive, and you can make plans before you arrive to get you excited about your course!

4. Airport transfer and travel in the UK

It is important to organise your airport transfer before you arrive, so you have less stress when you land.

inlingua Leeds can organise an airport transfer for you. You can also get the train to Leeds by pre-booking tickets online or a coach.

If you are in inlingua accommodation, please tell us the details of your airport transfer.

5. Money and currency exchange

Everywhere in England will only accept Pound Sterling (£). Please bring enough money with you (in cash or on a card) for at least the first week of your course. Bring some cash in case you have problems with your card.
